Simon Kenton Council
Athens County is part of the Simon Kenton Council (SKC) of the Boy Scouts of America. Simon Kenton's main council office is located in Columbus, Ohio, and serves central and southern Ohio, as well as portions of Kentucky and West Virginia. The Council is divided into five districts, with Athens County belonging to the easternmost district of Daybreak.
